As part of the exhibition Ars Memoria: Memes for Imagination by Helene Nymann, we cordially invite you for a conversation between Helene Nymann, visual artist Joachim Koester and Museum Director Tove Engelhardt Mathiassen. Looking at the ways in which exhibition and museum-spaces may help us remember, the both mental and physical rooms, that we leave behind.
This event will be an in-depth demonstration and discussion about the various techniques that the invited speakers have put in use in their work on memory. Whether it be through the medium of film, photography, sculpture or the interior design of an actual room for patients with Alzheimer’s and dementia. Using sound, smell and touch, movements and visualisation, all speakers are engaged in stimulating and supporting the different temporalities that we collectively share.
Join us for a memorable and insightful afternoon.
