Artisk Talk: Mathias Riis Andersen

During the autumn holiday next week, Kunsthal Aarhus hosts an artist talk by Danish artist Mathias Riis Andersen, winner of the 2022 ART Prize for artistic talents based in Aarhus. The event is in conjunction with the exhibition by graduates of the Jutland Art Academy which takes place each year at Kunsthal Aarhus in the springtime.
The ART Prize was initiated in 2018 as the result of an institutional partnership among Kunsthal Aarhus, ARoS Art Museum and Aarhus Billedkunstcenter. The aim of the award is to set a good start to the professional career of emerging artists in Aarhus and, at the same time, give more visibility to the vibrancy of the local art scene.
In 2022 the jury consisted of Diana Baldon (Artistic Director, Kunsthal Aarhus), Lise Pennington (former Chief Curator, ARoS art museum), and Line Sandvad Mengers (Head, Aarhus Visual Arts Center).
