Degree Show 2023: The potentials of ‘in-effectivization’ by Sally Messell-Dalgaard

Free entry

Sally Messell-Dalgaard, participating artist in Degree Show 2023: Loops, departs from the Jutland Art Academy with the work Logistique x Aarhus Havn. As part of her work, Messell-Dalgaard invites one of two local guests to participate in a discussion about the potential of "in-effectivization".

The work Logistique x Aarhus Havn portrays the consultancy firm Logistiques work with the imminent expansion of Aarhus harbour and how a series of events, expert analyses and political decisions are weaved and tangled together. With the purpose of identifying the function, hierarchy, organization and interests regarding the harbour, in order to come up with a possible solution for Aarhus harbour, Logistique has during the last six months visited and interviewed several relevant actors with a connection to the harbour. In this way Messell-Dalgaards work figures between videowork and documentary and forms an offset for a series of critical reflections on the meaning of concepts like progress, growth, bureaucracy and logistics.

Participation is free, but we recommend securing a seat by taking out a free ticket on Billetto.
