Taco Tuesday / Kronos’ Drømme - a different dive into the western genre

Free entry

In August Kunsthal Aarhus will be populated by the fantastic cowboy motifs of Costa Rican Leonardo Sagastuy, and this Tuesday, the artist himself will be serving tacos in the Kunsthal's café area.

We have invited Janne Breinholt Bak, senior editor at Gyldendal Publishing, to end the evening by talking about author Martin Larsen's monstrous and budding western novel Kronos' Drømme (2023).

Kronos' Drømme was Martin Larsen's last book. He was ill during the completion of the book and died six months before it was published. Janne Breinholt Bak edited the book together with Martin Larsen's fellow authors and close friends, Peter Højrup and René Jean Jensen, and she will talk about the novel itself and the special collaboration to bring it to life.

The Western story is a rare phenomenon in Danish literature, but Martin Larsen made it a central project in his career to write a Western while challenging what this genre is capable of.
