For the eighth and last edition of this season's Kunsthal Aarhus Book Club, we’re excited to welcome children's book publisher Rookie Books, all the way from Basel!
Rookie Books is an independent publishing house based in Basel, Switzerland. Founded in 2022 by Camillo Paravicini, it is built around a simple but compelling idea: children's books made by visual artists. The design concept stays constant across every title: 16 pages, thick cardboard, rounded corners – the unmistakable shape of a classic children's book. The rest is left entirely to the artist.
