Mikkel Holm Torp is a sculptor - both in an actual and symbolic sense. Prior to his studies at the Art Academy, Holm Torp is a trained stonemason, which not only provides him with a set of technical skills, but a sensibility towards creating images In Holm Torps artwork, Dykkerklokke, presented in the graduation exhibition, presents fragments of old sandstones, saved from the restoration project of Vor Frelser Kirke, which forms the basis for a poetic pictorial paraphrasing, situated somewhere in between sculpture, underwater scenario and soundpiece.

Frederik Heidemann is interested in the relation between sound, objects and theory. On the basis of a bachelor from the Conservatory of Music, music is a recurring theme throughout his artworks where he seeks to undermine the phenomenology of music. Heidemann’s artwork Deepnote, produced for the graduation exhibition, is a collage of objects. These objects represent a cycle which is difficult to decipher; a loop where pictures, sound and objects shifts between pointing at, and away from each other. In this way it is up to the viewer to make sense of the composition and to fill out the spaces between expression and contents, and between signs and the signified.
