Opening of Aarhus’er #1

Join artist Kristoffer Ørum and rapper Emilio Hestepis as they merge hip-hop culture with an alternative version of Aarhus' vibrant music scene. This happens when Kunsthal Aarhus opens one of this year's major exhibitions, Aarhus’er #1, just before the summer holidays.
The exhibition challenges our general understanding of the world and offers artistic visions of alternative realities and different perceptions of history. It is this ambiguity and uncertainty that is the focus of Kristoffer Ørum's visual staging of an alternative Aarhus, where the music icons of the 1980s and the thriving music scene they brought with them blend with the grassroots and street culture that shaped global hip-hop.
